9 stories separated the cottage from the water, 9 difficult stories. The lift makes frequent trips up and down safe, easy, and restful.

The top station is about 10' off the ground and protected by the interlocked gate. The station was still under construction when this photo was taken. All the machinery is inside the housing at the top of the track.

This photo gives a sense of the height and length of the track. We had to lift all but the last few sections of track into place with the gantry crane.

We added a button box post to the dock to make the lower station.
