These owners need the lift to replace a steep and unsafe set of stairs so they could continue enjoying their cottage.
It is really quite high off the ground. Locating the upper station near the corner of the deck minimized the intrusion onto the deck space and also kept the legs from blocking the front of the garage door. After we completed the lift they poured concert over the base of the top set of legs.

The car has two rotating, self-closing, self-locking doors and a “fence” on the uphill cottage side top-rail to protect arms as the car nears the upper station.
The owners opted for the three-horsepower, variable-speed motor option for a wider safety margin at full capacity in a remote location where voltage dips and surges are common. The machinery is protected by the wood paneled housing.
